action

Ellen Langford is set to take over her father's lucrative Home & Hearth company. But instead of presenting herself as a business woman, she is more likely to attract attention as a party girl and has made some business damaging appearances in the tabloid media. For example, she accepts a bet at a charity gala, drunk with alcohol, and ends up in the Christmas tree of the charity gala after a failed flickflack .

However, her father Jim Langford has not given her up. To prove her seriousness, he sends her incognito and with a tight travel budget of only 100 US dollars to the sleepy small town of Snowfalls, where he founded the business with his partner Uncle Zeke. There she is supposed to deliver a Christmas letter, a tradition the two friends have cherished. And that just before her vacation with her fiancé in Maui . Gritting her teeth, she accepts the assignment.

After an incident with the supposed taxi driver, who turns out to be hotel manager Jake Collins, she arrives at her booked hotel. Zeke, now retired, is away and cannot be reached. So Ellen has to stay longer than planned.

She befriends Jake and is slowly getting used to small town life. When a heavy snowstorm threatens the place, she makes herself useful in the hotel. Together with Jake, she tries to save the traditional Christmas auction as well. The two get closer and closer. Only the diner owner Debbie Collins, who used to keep an eye on her father, can discover her real identity.

Then, surprisingly, Ellen's fiance arrives. He doesn't like small town life and urges Ellen to leave. He also tells Jake the truth. Without being able to deliver the letter, they set off on vacation. But on the way to the airport, Ellen and her fiance get into an argument. The current Christmas letter has disappeared. Ellen, who thinks she forgot him at the hotel, returns to Snowfalls on her own.

There she takes part in the fundraising gala and learns that the letter was just a ruse by her father. Rather, the town should warm your heart. Because he sent the actual letter to Uncle Zeke, who reads it out at the gala. At the end of the day, her father, who has since traveled to Snowfalls, names her as his successor. Ellen can also talk to Jake and the two become a couple.
