Christmas Twister , also known as F6: Twister , is an American disaster movie from the year 2012 . Directed by Peter Sullivan , who also wrote the script together with Hanz Wasserburger . The film was shown on Tele 5 on December 21, 2018 .
action
The action takes place on December 22nd, 2 days before Christmas in the fictional town of Granburry. There is a history of family problems. Ethan, his wife Addison and the children Max and Kaitlyn live here. Ethan works at a university in northeast Texas , and his wife is a reporter for a television station. Both argue because Addison has an offer from another broadcaster, for which they would have to move far away.
While Ethan is working at the university, a hook echo is observed, which could indicate a tornado . Now that Addison is working on television, she is supposed to sound an alarm and thus arrange for an evacuation . But since Ethan has already issued a false positive, this is prevented by the station boss. Evidence builds as a tornado is sighted in Stephenville and more incidents become known. Eventually a tornado devastated the nearby mall and Ethan's son Max was hit from the ceiling. An alarm also goes off at the university, as a category F6 tornado is approaching the power plant.
At the same time, there are problems in the television station due to the storm , so everyone goes to a shelter . A fire breaks out in the basement in which an employee is staying. Everyone except the station manager and a cameraman who filmed the disaster can be saved. Addison decides to continue working with her family in town.
criticism
The film received mostly poor reviews from critics. The plot is flat and predictable, with little to no high points. The actors' performances are also rated as moderate to poor.
The film service sums it up: “Inexpensive disaster film, which only differs from its countless conspecifics by the seasonal setting. Hair-raising logic errors and charring actors come up in a scenario that disappoints even the smallest of expectations. "
