The Christnersee is a small quarry pond in Kahl am Main in the Aschaffenburg district in Lower Franconia .

The Christnersee is located in Kahl am Main behind the train station at the sports fields of the Paul Gerhardt School . The Kahl – Schöllkrippen railway line runs in an arch south of the lake . The approximately one and a half hectare lake belongs to the Kahler Seenplatte . It was built in the 20th century as an open-cast lignite mine and is now used by the local fishing club. The Christnersee is a biotope and is increasingly threatened with silting up.
