Christoffer Svae (born August 21, 1981 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian curler . He plays in the second position .

Svae won the silver medal with Thomas Ulsrud's Norwegian team at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver . In the semifinals they defeated the Swiss team around Skip Markus Eggler 7: 5. In the final, however, they were defeated by the Canadian team with Skip Kevin Martin 3: 6. In his second Olympic participation at the 2014 Winter Games , he played in second place, just like four years earlier, and finished fifth with the Norwegian team. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he came back second in the Norwegian team led by Thomas Ulsrud after four wins and five defeats in the round robin to sixth place.

He achieved his greatest success at the World Curling Championships in 2014 when he won the gold medal with Thomas Ulsrud. Before that, he had already won three bronze medals (2006, 2008 and 2009 ) and one silver medal ( 2010 ). At the 2015 World Cup , the Ulsrud team was unable to successfully defend the title due to a final defeat against the Swedish team led by Niklas Edin .

Svae has won the European Curling Championships twice ( 2010 and 2011 ). There are also six silver medals ( 2007 , 2008 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2016 ) and two bronze medals ( 2009 and 2015 ).
