Christoph Ernst von Roeder

Christoph Ernst von Roeder (* 1694 ; † July 27, 1754 in Pillau ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of Garrison Regiment No. 2 . He was also Amtshauptmann of Barthen and hereditary lord of Metgethen and Tranckwitz.

He began his service in the "Alt-Dohna" infantry regiment . There he was noticed by King Friedrich Wilhelm I because of his size and so he was transferred to the king's body regiment . On August 6, 1735 he was appointed captain of Barthen as a captain, shortly afterwards he became a major . After the king's death he took his leave as colonel . In 1743 the new King Friedrich II brought him into his service. The colonel was given the 2nd garrison regiment to the post of commander of the Pillau fortress . He died on July 27, 1754 in Pillau.

Von Roeder was married to Anne Charlotte von Winterfeld († 1762). The couple had ten children, including the future generals Friedrich Adrian Dietrich von Roeder and Heinrich von Roeder .
