Friedrich Adrian Dietrich von Roeder (born September 4, 1730 in Potsdam ; † October 2, 1802 there ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and chief of infantry regiment No. 6 .

Friedrich Adrian Dietrich was the son of Christoph Ernst von Roeder (* 1694; † July 27, 1754 in Pillau ) from the Metgethen family and his wife Anna Charlotte, born von Winterfeldt († 1762). His father was a Prussian colonel and chief of garrison regiment No. 2 as well as governor von Barten .

Military career

Roeder was employed on February 14, 1746 as a private corporal in the "Guard" regiment of the Prussian Army . There he became ensign on August 21, 1750 and second lieutenant on March 24, 1756 . With his regiment he took part in the Seven Years' War and fought in Leuthen , Liegnitz and Torgau . He was wounded in the battle of Hochkirch . In 1761 he became a staff captain and in 1766 a captain and company commander . In 1772 he became the commander of the 3rd Battalion. In 1776 he was promoted to major and as such took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . On April 9, 1785 he was finally commander of the "Guard" regiment. The following year he received the order Pour le Mérite . Roeder was then appointed colonel on May 20, 1787 and shortly afterwards appointed inspector of the Potsdam Infantry Inspection. Since February 7, 1789 he was the governor of Balga with an annual income of 500 thalers .

In February 1789 the king appointed him commandant of Potsdam and was brigadier of the guard in Silesia from 23 May 1790 during the mobilization . At the beginning of 1793 he was appointed major general . During the First Coalition War he was involved in the siege of Mainz . On January 29, 1796, he was appointed chief of Infantry Regiment No. 6 with a salary of 4035 thalers while maintaining his office. Shortly afterwards, Roeder began his 50th anniversary with the company. He dimittierte finally, on January 3, 1798 as a lieutenant general with a pension of 1500 thalers. In parting, the king awarded him the Great Red Eagle Order .

Roeder died unmarried in Potsdam.
