Christoph Fasel

Christoph Fasel (* 1957 ) is a German journalist , journalism teacher, author and media scientist . From June 2017 to the end of September 2019 he was editor-in-chief of Bild der Wissenschaft .

After completing a doctorate in German studies, he attended the Henri-Nannen-Schule in Hamburg and then worked as a journalist, among others for the Bild newspaper , Eltern and the stern . He then became editor-in-chief of Reader's Digest .

In 2006 he headed the Henri Nannen School. From 2006 to 2012 he was professor for media and communication management at the University of Economics and Media in Calw.

Fasel is the author of several journalism textbooks, for example "Utility Journalism". He wrote another with the language critic and publicist Wolf Schneider . He is a member of the jury of the consumer journalist award of the Markenverband and was instrumental in the establishment of the LBS-Wegweiser-Preis, of which he was a permanent member of the jury.
