Christoph Flaskamp

Christoph Flaskamp (born May 2, 1880 in Warendorf , † October 5, 1950 in Munich ) was a German poet , journalist and non-fiction author.

Life

Christoph Flaskamp was born in Warendorf in 1880, where he also attended high school. He then studied philology , history , German literature, art and philosophy at the University of Münster . Foreign trips then took Flaskamp to Holland and Italy. Then he settled in Münster for some time . From 1907 he worked there as a private scholar, translator and editor. He later also worked as the editor of the bi-monthly publication for politics, science, literature and art in Munich, where he died in October 1950 at the age of 70.

Flaskamp's journalistic activity began in 1904. He published a total of six volumes of poetry, as well as analytical literature and essays.
