Christoph Grimm (born August 12, 1943 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and lawyer .

Christoph Grimm is married, has three children and lives in Trier .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Trier Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in 1963 and studying law , Grimm was initially a judge at the district and regional court in Trier. From 1981 to 1995 he was a lawyer in Trier.

politics

Grimm has been a member of the SPD since 1968. From 1979 to 2006 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , of which he was president from May 21, 1991 to May 17, 2006.

On January 15, 2005, Grimm gave up his position as chairman of the SPD Trier. His successor was Malu Dreyer , who replaced him as the SPD candidate for the 2006 state elections in the Trier constituency.
