Christoph Lindenbauer

Christoph Lindenbauer (born November 29, 1960 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian cultural journalist and musician.

Life

Christoph Lindenbauer studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he graduated with distinction in the double bass concert subject in 1989. In 1987 he was engaged in the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra and in the following years worked as a substitute with the Vienna Philharmonic . As a freelance musician, Lindenbauer has given concerts in the Austrian Ensemble for New Music and in the International Paul Hofhaymer Ensemble.

Lindenbauer is also interested in jazz , pop and, above all, free improvisation. He gave concerts with Dieter Feichtner , the Ismael Ivo Dance Company, the Trio Inflagranti, the Franz Pillinger bass violin quartet and the alpine jazz band Der Berg . Lindenbauer was composer in residence at the Mittersill Composers' Forum and is considered the initiator and co-producer of the music theater performance Donna Juana at the Rauriser Literature Days with Bodo Hell and Renald Debbe and the Mozart 2006 performance Digitalog . Since 2008 Lindenbauer has been giving concerts with the projects Geile Gedichte (with Anselm Oberhummer and Susanne Czepl ), the Independent Barock Trio (with Anselm and Florian Oberhummer) and Bitches Bach (with Herbert Berger, Florian Oberhummer and Klaus Brennsteiner). In addition, Christoph Lindenbauer is working with his wife, the singer, accordionist and event manager of the Musikum Salzburg Ilona Lindenbauer, on a theater music project for Der Bauer als Millionär at the Schauspielhaus Salzburg . Lindenbauer has recorded a number of CDs, including the first and second cello suite by Johann Sebastian Bach . Most recently, the musician presented CD 12 movements on painting based on large-format acrylic paintings by Christoph Feichtinger.

He trained as a journalist in the current service at the ORF regional studio in Salzburg , where he designed articles for radio and television and for Ö1 from 1990 to 1999 . Lindenbauer has been a culture journalist and art critic at the Austria Press Agency (APA) since 2001 and works as a freelance author for publishers and organizers.
