Christopher Barker

Christopher Barker (born May 2, 1960 in Rome , Italy ) is a former Swiss actor and singer and the youngest son of the US actor Lex Barker from his fourth marriage to the Swiss actress Irene Labhardt .

Life

His mother became terminally ill with leukemia and committed suicide in 1962, his father died in 1973 of a heart attack . Due to the untimely death of his parents, Christopher Barker grew up with his grandmother and his maternal aunt in Lucerne , Switzerland, and attended an international boarding school there .

Barker trained as an opera singer and actor and tried his hand at acting in New York City in the 1980s . When a crisis broke out in the serial production business there in the 1990s, he was no longer offered any roles. So he went in to the offer at the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg the Old Shatterhand to play his father's most famous role. After a few roles, mainly in German TV series, musical performances and various single releases, with which he tried largely unsuccessfully to establish himself as a pop singer in Germany, he withdrew from show business .

Christopher Barker commutes between Switzerland and the United States , but now lives mostly in Geneva , where he works as a real estate agent and broker . Two children were born from two divorced marriages.
