Hugh Christopher Budd

Hugh Christopher Budd (born May 27, 1937 in Romford ) is an English Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus Bishop of Plymouth .

Life

Hugh Christopher Budd was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Brentwood on July 8, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Plymouth on July 19, 1985 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Old Bishop of Plymouth, Cyril Edward Restieaux , on January 15 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Michael George Bowen , Archbishop of Southwark , and Thomas McMahon , Bishop of Brentwood .

On November 9, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
