Christopher Kennedy Lawford (born March 29, 1955 in Santa Monica , California - † September 4, 2018 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) was an American film and television actor and author.

Life

Lawford was the eldest son of actor Peter Lawford and Patricia Kennedy Lawfords , a sister of US President John F. Kennedy .

The law graduate, who had to spend long periods of time in a clinic in the late 1970s because of drug problems, starred in around 40 films and television games between 1988 and 2008, including Sex Monster , Terminator 3 and the series General Hospital . In addition, he had a temporary teaching position in psychiatry at Harvard University .

Lawford became known in the United States as a public health activist. He has written or published several books on this subject, including his autobiography in 2005 and a book in 2009 with essays by well-known personalities about their alcohol and other drug problems. Both books became bestsellers in the United States.

A marriage entered into in 1984 and divorced in 2000 had three children. Two other marriages also ended in divorce. Lawford died in September 2018 at the age of 63 after breaking down in a yoga studio.
