action

Jeetu went into debt with the villagers. So that his father and his fiancée Pooja do not have to continue to suffer, he puts an end to it. Before the eyes of the believers he plunged into the waters of the sea.

In his homeland everyone believes Jeetu is dead. In Calcutta he is picked up by the fishermen Gundya and Bandya. He makes them believe he is deaf and dumb. Since Gundya himself owes the Gujarati Prabhat Singh Chauhan, they pay him a visit. Gundya's ship has been confiscated from Prabhat Singh and they agree that Jeetu and Bandya will work at Prabhat until Gundya pays his debts.

From now on both of them are busy cleaning shoes and washing clothes. But soon Jeetu is noticed by the silent Shruti, who tries to get hold of Jeetu through her younger sister Meenakshi. When Shruti found out about Jeetu's game of the deaf and mute, she wanted to marry him. Her brother Mangal gives his consent, as he had been looking for the perfect bridegroom for Shruti for a long time.

Matters get complicated when Jeetu learns that his once fiancé Pooja is a widow in his parents' house. After all, he assumed that after his death she would marry someone else. It is all the more unpleasant for Jeetu, who has finished his old life and his family knows that he is still alive.

On the day of his wedding to Shruti, Pooja and his family want to bring him back home. But Pooja recognizes the love between Shruti and Jeetu and does not want to be the reason for their separation. So they celebrate a wonderful wedding together.
