Chus Lampreave

Chus Lampreave (born December 11, 1930 in Madrid , † April 4, 2016 in Almería ) was a Spanish actress .

Lampreave has made more than 50 films, taken on numerous television roles, and worked with the country's most important directors.

She celebrated great success in the 1980s in films by the director Pedro Almodóvar , with whom she shot Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), among others . Other films with Almodóvar followed, including Speak to Her (2002) and most recently Volver - Returning (2006). In 1993 Lampreave was awarded the Goya for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fernando Trueba's Belle Epoque . For her portrayal of Aunt Paula in Volver - Return , Chus Lampreave was awarded the prize for best actress in a competition film at the 2006 Cannes International Film Festival, together with her film colleagues Yohana Cobo , Penélope Cruz , Lola Dueñas , Carmen Maura and Blanca Portillo .
