Cissus aralioides is a species of plant in the grapevine family from Sudan to central and western Africa .

description

Cissus aralioides grows as a climbing , more or less woody shrub on other trees, with the help of simple or two-part tendrils , many meters high. The shoot axes are almost bare and the trunks are up to 7–8 centimeters thick in the lower area.

The stalked leaves are composed palmate, with 3–9 almost bare leaflets . The slender, almost bald petiole is up to 10-15 centimeters long. The short-stalked, slightly leathery and whole-margined to distantly toothed or weakly notched, serrate, pointed to pointed, tailed or pointed leaflets are ovate to obovate or elliptical, oblong to lanceolate. The leaflets are up to 18-20 centimeters long and up to 8 centimeters wide. The leaflet stalks are up to 2.5 inches long. The small stipules are sloping.

Up to 10 centimeters long and compound and paniculate , weakly hairy inflorescences are formed. The very small, four-fold and stalked, reddish flowers have a double flower envelope . There are very small bracts and cover sheets. The very small, about 2.5 millimeters long, cup-shaped and indistinctly flapped calyx is more or less softly haired. The petals are bare and 2.5–3 millimeters long. There are 4 slightly protruding stamens . The bald, round ovary is upper constant with short and pfriemlichem pen .

Solitary, round to egg-shaped and bald, up to 3 centimeters long, bluish-violet to purple berries with a permanent goblet are formed. The smooth seed, with a small comb, is up to 1.5 inches long and slightly flattened on the sides.
