Clément Mailler (born January 31, 1990 ) is a French biathlete and cross-country skier . He has been taking part in roller-ski competitions since 2012 .

Career

Mailler started his career in biathlon in 2008 . He started in the Biathlon European Cup 2007/08 in two races and finished in the points in both. It remained his two starts at the international level in biathlon. In December 2011, Mailler started cross-country skiing on an international level for the first time, but was unable to prevail in the Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti . In March 2002 he started at the French Championships, but remained 19th over 15 km without a medal. In December of the same year Mailler started again in FIS races in Beitostølen and Montgenèvre , but was also unsuccessful here. From July 2013 he was finally part of the squad in the Rollerski World Cup . Right away he was in the top ten in Tripoli and finished eighth. In the other World Cups he also collected extensive points with good top 20 placements. In September he achieved his best result to date in Pontarlier in seventh place.

In December 2013 he started again in an FIS race in Bessans and finished in 33rd place. It was his only start in winter 2013/14. In the Rollerski World Cup 2014 Mailler started with a fourth place in the uphill sprint in Oroslavje . A few weeks later in Sollefteå , he ended up outside the top 20 for the first time. In Val di Fiemme, he started the team sprint for the first time at the end of the season and finished eighth with Antonin Pellegrini .

At the Rollerski World Championships 2015 in Val di Fiemme he was part of the French starting field and reached 18th place in the 10 km classic mountain run. In the sprint he also reached 18th place. In the 25 km mass start, he also reached 10th place, his best individual performance. He achieved his best result in the team sprint and finished fourth together with Antonin Pellegrini .
