Cladova (German: Kladowa , Hungarian: Kládova , Bégakalodva ) is a village in Timiș County , Banat , Romania . Cladova belongs to the Bethausen congregation .

Geographical location

Cladova is located in the east of Timiș County, 4 kilometers from the Bethausen parish hall , on the Bethausen- Ohaba Lungă municipal road .

history

The first documentary mention of the settlement Kaladwa comes from the year 1308. In 1453 the settlement Claadwa appears in the documents of the time. Other place names over the centuries were: 1597 Cladowa , 1612 Cladna , 1617 Cladona , 1620 Cladeva , 1689 Cladova , but also Kladova , Klada , after 1700 Kladova .

The place Gladova is entered on the Josephine land survey of 1717 . After the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867), the Banat was annexed to the Kingdom of Hungary within the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary . The official name is Kladova . The Treaty of Trianon on June 4, 1920 resulted in the Banat being divided into three parts, whereby the place fell to the Kingdom of Romania and Cladova is the official name.
