Claire Oelkers (born June 12, 1985 in Düsseldorf ) is a German reporter , musician and actress .

biography

Claire Oelkers, daughter of a Filipino woman , grew up in Grevenbroich near Neuss , attended grammar school there and graduated from high school in 2004 . For a short time, in autumn 2004, she began studying the humanities at the University of Cologne .

In 2000, at the age of 15, she gained her first experience as an actress . Since then she has starred in more than a dozen TV and cinema productions and also took acting classes at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City . Among other things, she embodied the role of Ayse in the disaster film Die Wolke (2006).

In 2003 Oelkers met the Cologne musician Björn Sonnenberg and became a founding member of the band Karpatenhund , in which she acted as the lead singer. The band has been on pause since 2010.

From 2007 to 2009 Oelkers worked as a presenter for the music broadcaster MTV Germany . In 2009 she posed for the cover of the German November issue of the men's magazine Playboy . In 2014 she started the YouTube channel German-Ness, an alternative city guide for Germany. In this format, she acts as both a presenter and a producer. Oelkers has been part of the reporter team for the ProSieben infotainment magazine Galileo since the end of 2016 .
