Clara Lago Grau (born March 6, 1990 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actress .

Life

Clara Lago grew up in Torrelodones , near Madrid, and made her film debut at the age of 9 with the Spanish film Terca Vida (2000) . She had previously appeared in a Spanish television series and was cast in Compañeros at Antena 3 that same year . Lago had other roles in television series such as Hospital Central , Los hombres de Paco or El corazón del océano . For her role as Carol in the drama Carols Reise (2002), a film by Imanol Uribe , Lago was nominated for a Goya Award for "Best New Actress". In the drama Arena en los bolsillos (2006) she mimed the role of Elena . In the comedy Quién mató a Bambi (2013) she embodied the role of Mati .

Lago won the “Best New Talent in Spanish Cinema” award given by L'Oréal at the 56th San Sebastian Film Festival 2008.

For her role in the film The Hidden Face , Lago won the 2011 ICAA Shooting Stars Award for the European Film Academy and the Berlinale at the International Film Festival.

In 2014, Lago played the role of Amaia in 8 Names for Love . The film broke Spanish box office records and became the most successful Spanish title to date, with sales exceeding $ 75 million.
