Clara Welten , (* 1967 in Erfurt as Christiane Zimmerling ) is a German soulmate, author, publisher and director of the Welten Institute for Depth Psychology and Spirituality (WITS) .

Life

Christiane Zimmerling was born as the second daughter into the oppositional home of a church musician and a nurse.

In the Christian self-understanding of the Confessing Church , Welten's childhood consisted of resistance to SED policy. Due to the political commitment of the parents, Welten also oriented itself towards the pacifist peace movement early on . During her school days she did not visit any pioneer organizations, no FDJ , celebrated youth consecration or German-Soviet friendship .

Welten refused all child and youth organizations as well as military studies as a school subject, left the class for 'inciting against dissenters' and withdrew from all other political obligations. In 1982 she joined biblical groups in the Swords to Plowshares peace movement . For political reasons, she was denied access to the EOS , as well as the Abitur and any career choice in the state sector. Instead, in 1982, because of the 'resistance to the workers and peasants' state, she was threatened with a juvenile prison for those who were difficult to educate and political perpetrators. In 1983 she was arrested for the first time and interrogated by the State Security. In 1983, her parents were threatened with the deprivation of the right to bring up the worlds, because they had not raised their child in the “sense of the workers and peasants”. At the underage age of 15, a Stasi file was kept on Welten and 3 informal employees from the close circle of friends were assigned to it. On December 7, 1983, the family was finally ransomed from the GDR. The time to leave Geretsried at the age of 16 was just in time for Welten, as she would not have finished the 10th grade for political reasons, would not have been able to take a high school diploma or study and would only have been able to learn a profession in the church sector. 15 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, she visited her native city.

In 1989 Welten began a master's degree in philosophy, psychoanalysis and literary studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt / Main , where he passed the lecturer's examination for French in 1995 and received a research grant for sociological and psychoanalytic studies in Paris (with Derrida , Irigaray , Kristeva ), which took her to Paris in 1997 to the Collège de philosophie von Derrida and the EHSS. Welten published the research results in 1997 as a book: On the concept of truth in G. Bataille's work or on the addiction of getting lost in intoxication . In it, Welten analyzes in depth psychology and philosophy the addiction “to disappear into nothing”, according to Blanchot .

Years of work

From 2000 Welten gave lectures on psychoanalysis and philosophy by Derrida, Kristeva and Irigaray at various German universities and worked as a freelance teacher. In 2003 she was employed at a Jewish private school for children with psychological learning difficulties, but moved to Berlin with her French-Caribbean partner in 2004 and began a three-year training program as a 'healer in shamanic tradition' with Eva Bouizedkane in 2005. In 2006 Welten gave birth to a daughter. In 2007 she founded the Franco-German Atelier for creative living in the Josettihöfe in Berlin-Mitte. In 2008 she completed a shamanic training and founded her own practice, a German-French practice for psychotherapy and soul travel in the Aquariana, Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Welten also won first place in the nationwide biography competition What a life! of ZEIT magazine in the category 'Personality', so that her book was filmed under the title Educated to Resistance and premiered in 2010 in the Historical Museum. Since then she has held numerous seminars on political education, invited and carried out by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Federal Agency for Political Education , holds readings and lectures as a contemporary witness of the GDR youth opposition and offers therapeutic support for victims of torture and political violence.

In 2011 she completed the training 'alternative practitioner in psychotherapy', was invited by the city of Geneva to the Philo-Ateliers for children as part of a conference on awareness work with children in the théatre de l'espoir , and then received a visiting professorship at the University of Education, at the CEFOC in Geneva, Switzerland, where she holds seminars on 'awareness work with children' twice a year.

Welten has been a soul companion since 2009. In this developed form of therapy, worlds combine verbal and non-verbal therapy approaches , talk therapy , depth psychology , spiritual forms such as regression and soul travel as well as shamanic world work. Since then she has been working within the Interdisciplinary Supervision Group for Therapists and Healers , founded in 2010 , since 2013 as a trainer for soul companions in the three-year training in spirituality (techniques), depth psychology and in the practical setting, in which she conveys the concept of interdisciplinary soul accompaniment, and as a soul companion in her own practice - specializing in severe mental ailments and trauma work, in individual and couple therapy. Here she combines non-verbal techniques such as regression, soul journeys, power animal work with deep psychologically trained and further developed forms of verbal psychotherapy.

Welten is also involved in a subject-specific, social and ecological manner, etc. a. through membership in the Association of Independent Heilpraktiker eV, Selfpublisher Association eV, TERRE DES FEMMES - Human Rights for Women eV , Greenpeace and GLS Community Bank .
