Claudio Ceccotti

Claudio Ceccotti (born September 10, 1983 in Hanover ) is a former German basketball player of Italian descent.

Life

Ceccotti was  born in Hanover to an Italian father , grew up in Rome and then lived in Kiel and Hamburg . The 2.03-meter-tall winger was in the 2001/02 season with BC Hamburg champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North, but since the club was subsequently neither granted a license for the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, Ceccotti stepped in the season 2002/03 with the Hamburgers in the Regionalliga. In 2003 he moved to the Bremen Roosters in the second division, in 2004/05 he was back in the squad of BC Hamburg in the regional league, to switch to Bremen again for the 2005/06 season. During the 2005/06 season, Ceccotti scored a good 12.5 points per match for Bremen, and within the 2nd Bundesliga he moved to BV Chemnitz 99 . He played for the Saxons until the end of the 2006/07 season.

In January 2008 he was signed by the ETB Essen ( 2nd Bundesliga ProB ). In the summer break of 2008, he again joined Chemnitz ( 2nd Bundesliga ProA ).

From 2009 to 2011 Ceccotti played at the Nuremberg BC in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB. During his time in Nuremberg, he completed his university studies in business administration . In the 2012/13 season he played temporarily for the Austrian second division team Dornbirn Lions and returned to Dornbirn before the 2014/15 season after completing his master's degree at the University of Liechtenstein in Vaduz , where he coached the university basketball team. For Vorarlberg, he played twelve games in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2014/15 season and scored an average of 13.3 points per game.
