Claus-Dieter Kröger (born December 26, 1949 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Kröger played with Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga from 1970 to 1972 . In the two seasons he played five games, his first on May 29, 1971, the 33rd matchday of the 1970/71 season , when he was substituted on in the game against Borussia Dortmund . Due to persistent injury concerns, he ended his high-class career in 1972.

For the 1970/71 season, Kröger was taken over from the HSV amateur team, as were Walter Volkert , Wolfgang Kampf and Hans-Peter Gummlich in the licensed squad of coach Klaus-Dieter Ochs . In addition, HSV signed Hans-Jürgen Ripp , Heinz Bonn and Gerd Klier . After his BL debut in 1970/71, the defender came to four more league appearances in his second season, 1971/72. On February 22, 1972, he was also active in the DFB Cup at the home game against Werder Bremen (1-0) as a right defender. He formed the defensive formation in front of goalkeeper Rudi Kargus together with Willi Schulz , Manfred Kaltz and Caspar Memering .

For the 1973/74 season he returned to the HSV amateurs.
