Claus-Peter Zick (born September 12, 1958 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

player

Zick played for SpVgg Weiden , FC Burgsolms and TSV Klein-Linden before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1978 . Eintracht played in the Bundesliga and Zick made his debut in his second season. On matchday 33, the 1979/80 season , he was substituted on in the 3-2 defeat against Bayer 05 Uerdingen . In 1980 he won the UEFA Cup with the Frankfurt team. On his next assignment in the league, Zick had to wait a long time after a serious injury, only on matchday 33 of the 1980/81 season he was used again. In the game against Borussia Dortmund he played the first half. The BvB won 4-0. The Eintracht landed with Zick in fifth place in the final table and won the DFB Cup in 1980/81 . Zick was not used in the competition. He switched to the amateur camp and played for Eintracht Haiger , VfB Gießen , VfL Marburg , FC 80 Herborn and FSV Steinbach .

Trainer

In his last position as a player, FSV Steinbach, Zick took over as coach after his playing career. He practiced this until 1998. He returned as a coach in 2002 for the next three years. In these 3 years he was twice champion with FSV Steinbach, which is now called FSV Fernwald, and rose first from the district league to the association league and then to the Oberliga Hessen (today Hessenliga). In 2008 he took over the upper division Eintracht Wetzlar from coach Peter Cestonaro . He could not avoid relegation to the association league. In the second year he succeeded in winning the championship in the established Hessen League.
