During his studies in Göttingen he founded the Blue Roseland Orchestra together with the Hamelin clarinetist Engelhard Schatz and later the Red Roseland Cornpickers , which soon became well-known in the German and soon also European jazz scene and internationally at jazz festivals such as the Hammerveld Jazz Festival in Roermond , the “Oude stijl Jazz Festival” in Breda or the London Traditional Jazz Festival. In addition to a few records from his own bands, Claus Jacobi also performs throughout Europe as a clarinetist, saxophonist and arranger with various ensembles in Germany, England, the Netherlands and the United States.
