Clemens Carl von Twickel

Clemens Carl Freiherr von Twickel (born March 1, 1788 in Münster , † February 4, 1873 ibid) was a German manor owner and politician from the Westphalian noble family von Twickel .

Von Twickel, who was a Catholic denomination, was the son of Clemens August von Twickel and his wife Franziska Ferdinande Maria née von Rump. Carl von Twickel was a brother. In 1801 he was awarded Maximilian Friedrich von Elverfeldt in his capacity as a Turnarius Münstersche Dompräbende . Von Twickel was the owner of a manor and inheritance in the Principality of Münster . From 1841 to 1852 he was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Westphalia for the electoral district of West Münster . In 1847 he was a member of the United State Parliament .

On July 26, 1827, he married Maria Theresa Freiin von Lilien-Borg (* 1808), the daughter of Clemens von Lilien-Borg . The couple had several children:

  • Franziska Ferdinanda (born January 15, 1830 - † November 27, 1907) ⚭ 1857 Ernst Anton von Nagel (* November 27, 1829 - † November 15, 1908)
  • August Joseph (* May 23, 1832), Lord on Hamen ⚭ May 7, 1872 Baroness Sophia von Loë (* December 17, 1845)
  • Wilhelmine Antonie (born September 23, 1836)
