Clemens Lindemann (born October 15, 1947 in Homburg ) was District Administrator of the Saarpfalz district from 1985 to 2015 .

Vita

Clemens Lindemann was born the third of four children to a Homburg baker family. He grew up in Homburg and passed his Abitur at Saarpfalz-Gymnasium . He then studied law and political science at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken and at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn , where he passed his state exams in 1974.

Focus of work

In the Saarland state capital Saarbruecken Lindemann 1975 started under Mayor Oskar Lafontaine his career, first in the law office since 1980 as head of the Social Welfare Office. Under his leadership, Saarbrücken developed an employment program for social welfare recipients, which is still a model in Germany today. In 1985 Clemens Lindemann was elected District Administrator of the Saarpfalz district. Here, too, he set his priorities in social and labor market policy. During his tenure, he managed, among other things, the localization of the lower state administrative level, the creation of the supraregional Siebenpfeiffer Prize and the development of the European Culture Park Bliesbruck-Reinheim .

In June 2004 the population of the Saarpfalz district confirmed Lindemann in a primary election with 52.2% of the votes for another ten years in his office. On June 30, 2015, Lindemann retired.

Clemens Lindemann is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Kirkel .
