Cliza is a small town in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Cliza is the seat of the administration of the province Germán Jordán and lies in the administrative district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Cliza on the 490 km² large fertile plateau of the Valle Alto . The village is located at an altitude of 2721 m on the right bank of the Río Cliza , about 15 kilometers from the edge of the Cordillera Oriental , which rises to over 4,100 m near the nearby San Benito .

Cliza lies in the transition area between the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.

From Cochabamba the paved road Ruta 7 leads in a southeast direction 33 kilometers to Tolata , from there a dirt road over eight kilometers further south to Cliza and on to Toco .

Due to the historical population distribution, the region has a high proportion of Quechua population, in the municipality of Cliza 91.1 percent of the population speak the Quechua language.
