Clodoaldo Tavares de Santana (born September 26, 1949 in Aracaju , Sergipe State , Brazil ) is a former Brazilian football player .

Clodoaldo was a central midfielder who was known to be fast, light-footed and tricky. At club level, he played for the Pelé club FC Santos for a total of 14 years and followed in the footsteps of the legendary Zito . He later played in the US and retired in 1981.

Between 1969 and 1974 he made 38 international matches (three goals) and became world champion with the Seleção in 1970 . Clodoaldo was a regular player, was on the field in all games and scored the important 1-1 in the semifinals against Uruguay (final score 3: 1). Overall, he played a strong tournament and was part of the FIFA All-Star Team.
