Roberto Lopes de Miranda , aka Roberto (born July 31, 1944 in São Gonçalo , Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian football player .

His career lasted from 1962 to 1976. He played for the clubs Botafogo , Flamengo , Corinthians and América . Roberto won several important titles. Between 1967 and 1972 he played twelve times for Brazil and scored six times. Roberto's career peak was in 1970, when Brazil won all qualifying and finals of the 1970 World Cup and became world champions in Mexico. The 1970 Seleção is considered one of the best of all time. With Jairzinho , Roberto formed a strong attacking duo of Botafogos. He was also part of the Brazilian selection at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo , where his team failed in the preliminary round.
