The Codex Augiensis ( Gregory-Aland no. F p or 010 ) is a Greco-Latin uncial of the Pauline letters , which is dated to the 9th century. The handwriting is incomplete. The manuscript takes its name from Monasterium Augiensis , the Latin name for the Reichenau monastery .
description
The codex consists of 136 written parchment sheets (23 by 19 cm); However, the Codex is missing some parts of Paul's letters ( Rom 1: 1–3: 19, 1 Cor 3: 8–16, 6: 7–14, Col 2: 1–8, Phil 21–25, Letter to the Hebrews ).
There are similarities to the Codex Boernerianus and Codex Claromontanus .
The sheets are sold at Trinity College , Cambridge under catalog number B. XVII. 1 kept. A scribe, probably even the first hand, put a German word over a Greek at one point, which confirms the origin from the German-speaking area. The codex was bought by Richard Bentley in 1718 for 250 Dutch guilders.
The Greek text of the Codex represents the Western text type . It is assigned to category II .
