Colloderma is a genus of the family of Stemonitidae . The genus comprises four species and can be found worldwide.

features

The fruiting bodies are stalked or sessile sporocarp , rarely plasmodiocarp . The peridium is two-ply, the outer ply is freshly gelatinous, horn-like and brittle after drying and therefore gradually disintegrates, the membranous, inner ply, however, is permanent. The branched to reticulate capillitium grows radially from the base to the peridia. The bulk of the spores are dark brown to almost black.

distribution

The genus is distributed worldwide, two species ( Colloderma oculatum , Colloderma robustum ) are also found in German-speaking countries.

Systematics and research history

The genus was first described by Giulielma Lister in 1910 , the type species is the Colloderma oculatum, first described by Christian Lippert as Didymium oculatum in 1894 . The genus includes four species:
