The Communauté de communes en Bocage Bourbonnais is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Allier department , whose administrative seat was in the town of Bourbon-l'Archambault . Their area was about 20 km west of Moulins in the historic province of Bourbonnais , whose landscape Bocage Bourbonnais gave the Communauté de communes its name. The bocage , a French type of landscape crossed by hedgerows, shaped the surroundings of the villages. The community association was founded at the end of 2003 and has eleven communities on an area of 402.9 km 2 .
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association determined the housing policy and operated the garbage collection and disposal as well as the street lighting.
Historical development
With effect from January 1, 2016, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes Bocage Sud and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes du Bocage Bourbonnais .
