The Compagnie de transport aérien (CTA) was a Swiss airline based in Meyrin in the canton of Geneva . It was founded by Swissair in 1978 as a rescue company and from the bankruptcy estate of SA de Transport Aérien (SATA).

On January 1, 1993, the CTA merged with Balair to form BalairCTA.

Route network

As a charter airline , the CTA flew from Zurich and Geneva to destinations in North Africa, the Mediterranean, Turkey, Greece and the Canary Islands. In the high season, additional aircraft were chartered, mainly from what was then Swissair .

fleet

Three aircraft of the type Sud Aviation Caravelle 10 B3 were taken over by SATA, and a fourth aircraft joined the fleet in 1980.
