Condamine is a small town with a population of just under 400 in the Australian state of Queensland . Condamine is located 34 kilometers south of Miles and 186 kilometers north of Goondiwindi on the Leichhardt Highway . The city is located in the administrative region (LGA) Western Downs Region .

Condamine is considered to be the place where the Condamine Bell , a small sheet metal bell used to locate cattle herds, was invented.

The gas pipeline from Roma to Brisbane happens Condamine in the south. There are two gas compression plants to the west, where two other pipelines, the Peat / Scotia Lateral and the Braemar Line Pack Pipeline, intersect with the Roma-Brisbane Pipeline.

The Condamine River flows through the western part of the city. On December 30th, during the floods in Queensland in early 2010-2011 , the city had to be evacuated when the river was expected to exceed 15m. After the floods subsided, the city had to be evacuated once more within 10 days when continued rain caused a flash flood . The second tidal wave reached a high of 13.2 m.
