Conny Strauch

Conny Strauch (born February 28, 1958 in Leipzig ) is a German pop and jazz singer .

Musical development

Conny Strauch studied from 1977 to 1981 at the Leipzig Music Academy ; she was also active as a singer in various groups. In 1978 she took part in the youth festival Goldener Rathausmann in Dresden . Her band Schwarzer Pfeffer from 1982 dissolved again in 1983. She then performed as a duo with a guitarist , toured with Hans-Jürgen Beyer and gave concerts as a rock and jazz singer with Fips Fleischer . She runs a private music school in Berlin and is a lecturer. One of her students was Sabine Brand.

Since 1993 she has performed as Singin 'Swing with Uta Ernst and Evelyn Fischer . Other band members of the jazz band are Stephan König ( p ), Stephan "Grete" Weiser ( keyb ) and Wolfram Dix ( dr ). They were prizewinners of the legendary f6 Dixieland festival in Dresden.

Her daughter Peggy Pollow , born in 1979, sings and dances musicals in the Hamburg Operettenhaus .
