Conrad Paul Wusching

Conrad Paul Wusching (born January 10, 1827 in Großmanyok , Tolna County , Austrian Empire ; † August 26, 1900 in Lugos , Kingdom of Hungary ) was a Romanian-German composer , church musician and choir director .

Life

The craftsman's son Wusching had his first instrumental lessons, including organ playing, during his school days with the senior teacher in his home community. He continued his education in Fünfkirchen and graduated from the teachers' college in 1843. He then worked for one year in Kömöd and four years in Buda . From 1848 until his retirement in 1893 he worked as a teacher and rainbow choir of the Catholic community in Lugosch. In 1849 he founded the Lugoscher Singing and Music Society . As a composer, Wusching emerged with more than 150 mainly church music works. In 1869 he made a study trip to Würzburg , where he also taught.
