Nagymányok (German: Großmanok , older also Großmangarth ) is a Hungarian city in the Bonyhád district in Tolna County .
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1015 and its spelling changed over time: Manky , Meneke , Manyk , Manyuk , Mányok and Nagymányok . After the Turkish occupation , German Catholics settled here . Even today, half of the population belongs to the German ethnic group.
Coal mining was carried out in the vicinity of the place .
On July 1, 2009, the municipality received city status.
