Constantin Ștefan (born June 3, 1939 in Bucharest ; † September 11, 2012 ) was a Romanian football player and coach.

Athletic career

Ștefan first played for the Voința Bucharest club , which was later renamed CPCS Bucharest. After the dissolution of the club, relegated from Divizia B in 1958 , the following year he moved within the city to the second division club Dinamo Obor Bucharest . With his new club he reached the final of the Cupa României in 1960 , which was lost, however, with a 2-0 defeat against Progresul Bucharest .

Ștefan then moved to Dinamo Bucharest in Divizia A in 1961 . Here he played 189 league games by the end of his career in 1971 and won the championship title five times and the national cup twice.

Ștefan later worked as a trainer and coached Dinamo Slatina and Corvinul Hunedoara , Pandurii Târgu Jiu , Gloria Buzău , Progresul Bucharest and ROVA Roșiori several times .

In September 2012, Ștefan died at the age of 73 from complications from pneumonia .
