The son of the bricklayer, stonemason and plasterer Melchior Pader was trained as a sculptor and initially worked as such in the Dachau area. In 1636 he was appointed master by the Munich sculptors' guild. In the 1650s he became a building expert for the Munich clergy.

In 1658 he was entrusted with the construction of the monastery church of the Assumption of Mary in Niederschönenfeld because he had “already built many beautiful monastery and church buildings”. However, there is only archival evidence of Pader's work in a managerial position for two older buildings: for the pilgrimage church Our Lord in Elend near Attel near Wasserburg and for the parish church of the Assumption in Deggendorf . His involvement in the construction of the pilgrimage church of the Holy Trinity in Weihenlinden near Bruckmühl is considered likely . Constantin Pader's secured buildings from later years include the pilgrimage church of Maria Birnbaum in Sielenbach, the parish church of St. Emmeram in Kleinhelfendorf and the pilgrimage church of St. Johann Baptist and Holy Cross in Westerndorf near Rosenheim. Pader's architecture shows old Bavarian, Northern Italian and Slavic influences.

Examples of Constantin Pader's sculpture can be found in the churches of Heilig Blut in Einsbach near Sulzemoos (high altar, fountain visor), St. Florian in Wiedenzhausen (high altar, sculptures for the side altars, pulpit), St. Laurentius in Petershausen (high altar), and St. Leonhard and Anna in Pasenbach (high altar, side altars), St. Nikolaus and Maria in Mitterndorf (high altar, sculptures for tabernacle and pulpit), St. Ulrich in Mühldorf near Petershausen (high altar) and St. Martin in Unterbachern near Bergkirchen (side altars).
