Continental O-526 is a series of air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engines built by the American company Continental Motors .

construction

In principle, the O-526 is identical to the O-470 , but with a larger piston stroke and a larger cylinder bore it has larger cylinders with a displacement of 8620 cm³. As a model GSO-526, which was developed for use in the Cessna 620 , the engine has a reduction gear and supercharging .
