Cord Dreyer

Cord Christian Dreyer (born July 31, 1962 in Neustadt am Rübenberge ) is a German journalist and former editor-in-chief of the news agencies dapd and dpa-AFX .

Life

Cord Dreyer started his journalistic career in 1987 as a radio journalist in Hamburg. Between 1994 and 2006 he worked in various functions for the dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur in Hamburg and Hanover . From 2006 to 2007 the management of the group press office of Volkswagen AG was in Dreyer's hands. He then headed the business news agency dpa-AFX in Frankfurt for three years as managing director and editor - in-chief. In the same position he moved to the dapd news agency in Berlin. This emerged from the agencies Deutscher Depeschendienst (ddp) and the former German section of the  Associated Press (AP) . He is currently one of several managing partners at text-on GmbH in Berlin and has been responsible for communications at RWE since 2015 . Dreyer has been an independent consultant for strategy, communication and media since October 2012.
