biography

Cordy Millowitsch had received a vocal training. Her stage career has gained momentum since she arrived in Berlin . As an operetta singer, she celebrated her first major successes before the First World War at the Metropol-Theater alongside popular artists such as Joseph Giampietro and Guido Thielscher .

From November 1915 to the end of March 1918 she can be traced back to Vienna , where she made her film debut with Paula Countess Rottersheim in the family drama Die Tragödie auf Schloß Rottersheim by Jakob Fleck and Luise Kolm in 1916.

At the beginning of April 1918 she left the imperial and royal capital and went on a journey to Constantinople (today's Istanbul ). Back in Berlin, Cordy Millowitsch initially appeared (in the early 20s) several times in films, often in lordly roles. She was Esther, Queen of Judea , in Jeremias , Tsarina Eudoxia in Peter the Great at the side of Emil Jannings and Empress Maria-Theresa in the Prussian material Trenck .
