Cornelius Fontem Esua
Cornelius Fontem Esua (born July 2, 1943 in Mbetta ) is a Cameroonian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bamenda .
Life
Cornelius Fontem Esua was ordained a priest on December 29, 1971 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Kumbo on September 10, 1982 . The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Gabon , Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea , Archbishop Donato Squicciarini , donated him episcopal ordination on December 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Pius Suh Awa , Bishop of Buéa , and Paul Mbiybe Verdzekov , Archbishop of Bamenda.
On 7 December 2004 it appointed Pope to Koadjutorerzbischof of Bamenda. With the resignation of Paul Mbiybe Verdzekov on January 23, 2006, he followed this in the office of Archbishop of Bamenda. On December 30, 2019, the Pope accepted his age-related resignation and appointed Andrew Nkea Fuanya as his successor.
