Coshiva (bourgeois Daniela Eva Wimmer, born July 18, 1977 in Hallein , Salzburg ) is an Austrian musician . She is active in singing , songwriting and pianist in the field of pop-folk.

Life

In 2003 her debut single Leaving Today was released in Austria and Germany, followed in 2004 by the Christmas single It's Christmas Time (produced by Christian Kolonovits ). After completing her studies, Coshiva composed songs for the Austrian film Spiele Leben and appeared as the opening act for the Sugababes and at various festivals ( FM4 - Frequency 2004, Donauinselfest 2006).

The single Butterfly reached the Austrian single charts. The Butterfly tour went through Austria in 2008, and she also appeared as a support act for James Morisson . In October 2008, followed by the Single Presence of Vienna , for which they the Young Artist Music Award was given in 2009, and the third single No No No . Also in 2009 she was awarded the Austrian Newcomer Award 2009.

In 2010 the album Butterfly was released in Germany. An unplugged tour follows. The single Sunday Afternoon reached the Austrian single charts. In 2013 she presented her third studio album One by One in Vienna . In the same year the dub band Dubblestandart released the album Woman in Dub , to which Coshiva contributed two songs. In 2014, One By One received the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Best Engineered Album category.

On the occasion of the Acoustique European tour of the band Foreigner 2014 , Coshiva appeared in Germany in the opening act. Their single "Soak Up The Fun" is the 2014 campaign song for UNICEF against malnutrition in a spot with German NBA basketball star Dirk Nowitzki. In 2015 she presented her fourth single "One By One". She was heavily pregnant when filming the music video.
