Cosimo Citiolo (also Checker vom Neckar , born December 29, 1981 in Stuttgart ) is a German - Italian singer , entertainer and author .
Life & Career
Citiolo first appeared publicly in 2001 as a GoGo dancer with the Stuttgart agency "McKoy". This gave him appearances as a dancer in numerous clubs and on the B.TV rave.
Citiolo took part in Deutschland sucht den Superstar for the first time in 2005 and has since been seen as a candidate on television every year. The broadcast of a DSDS appearance in 2007 in a Spiderman garment led to greater awareness of Citiolo. In 2011 he appeared again before the DSDS jury, which, however, sharply criticized him. Citiolo's reaction to this - he gave jury member Fernanda Brandão an autograph card from her ex-boyfriend Bushido and greeted him with a contemptuous greeting - was shown several times in the program and had already been widely announced in advance in the Bild newspaper .
In 2010 Citiolo's first single Ketchup Mayo Sandwich was released , which was later also part of the sampler "Black Music & Hip Hop Essentials, Vol.01". In the same year Citiolo's autobiography was published under the title Without Fun No Fun: Cosimos Cosmos .
At the beginning of 2011 Citiolo Talk was a guest on “BRAVO WebTV” . This was followed by the second single Come on baby take off your clothes! / Electro party , for which a video clip was also released. This includes the producer of the piece Damon Paul , who has previously worked with The Black Eyed Peas , Taio Cruz and Fatman Scoop . The texts were created in collaboration with Bushido.
As a checker from the Neckar , Citiolo tours through clubs and presents a short entertainment program. Together with his dancers he presents the so-called Wacka Chicka dance .
In May 2011, RTL II broadcast a docu-soap entitled Die Super-Checker about Playboy 51 , "Porno-Klaus" and Citiolo made famous by Big Brother.
From May to August 2011 Citiolo was a participant in the eleventh season of the reality TV show Big Brother . There he met the former DSDS candidates Lisa Bund and Benny Kieckhäben, among others . The rappers Bushido and Kay One stated in a video message broadcast on RTL II that they were fans of Citiolo.
In January 2012 Citiolo released his first studio album, Electro Sex , from which the single of the same name was extracted. In May 2012 the single Summertime's Coming followed .
In 2013 he was seen at Cologne 50667 in episode 40, where he appeared in the art bar.
