In 100 Years… is a song by Modern Talking that was written and produced by Dieter Bohlen . It was released in November 1987 as the first and - except in Denmark - also the only single from the album In the Garden of Venus .
history
The plot of the song tells that love will be forbidden in 100 years, which is why the protagonist feels compelled to confess his love to a woman. In contrast to the other predecessors, this song strikes more thoughtful sounds, which corresponds to its status as the last single Modern Talkings before the first breakup. The single was released on November 9, 1987; While the song was still in the top 30 in Germany , it was a major success in Spain (fourth place), South Africa (16th place) and Turkey (first place).
In 1998 a remix of the title appeared on the album Back for Good .
Music video
The music video usually consists of film clips that z. B. Show soldiers, missiles and natural disasters. In the plot of the video, Modern Talking present the song in an almost destroyed city, in between you can see the aforementioned scenes in fadeouts .
