Win the Race is a song by the German music duo Modern Talking . It was released in February 2001 as the first single from the tenth album America . Win the Race , published in Germany and other European countries on February 26, 2001, was composed by Dieter Bohlen and became the theme song for German Formula 1 . The single peaked on March 26, 2001, exactly one month after its release, at number 5 in the German charts. While the single was successful enough in Germany to stay in the charts for 13 weeks, it only made it to the 14th place in Austria. In the meantime, the song reached the top 40 in Switzerland and Sweden.
