Cressac-Saint-Genis is a village and a former French commune of 160 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Angoulême and the Canton of Charente-Sud . The inhabitants are called Cressacais .

Cressac-Saint-Genis is about thirty kilometers south-southwest of Angoulême .

history

In 1973, Cressac and Saint-Genis were merged.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Blanzac-Porcheresse and Cressac-Saint-Genis were merged to form the Commune nouvelle under the name of Côteaux du Blanzacais and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Blanzac-Porcheresse.
