Crew Stoneley
Crew Stoneley ( Crew Hadlett Stoneley ; born May 9, 1911 in Leeds , † August 27, 2002 in the county of Dorset ) was a British sprinter .
At the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he reached the semi-finals in the 400-meter run . In the 4 x 400 meter relay he won with the British team in the cast of Stoneley, Tommy Hampson , Lord Burghley and Godfrey Rampling .
In 1934 he won bronze over 440 yards at the British Empire Games in London and gold with the English quartet in the 4 x 440 yard relay.
In 1932 he became British champion over 440 yards.
Crew Stoneley served in the British Army from 1931 to 1964 , most recently with the rank of brigadier .
